T/N: This is in an interview and forum style. Throughout the interview, Joo Yiwon does not specify the gender (not that it matters as you will see). Therefore, when he is talking about the person, the pronouns will be they/them.
What is your ideal type?
– A person with a lot of money and one who spends it well.
I didn’t expect that answer. Don’t you have a lot of money yourself?
– That’s true, but I don’t really know how to spend that money as I’m not used to it. All I do with the money is save it. I like a person who is generous–generous to the point of seeming foolish–because they were born rich.
If you weren’t the world’s top guildmaster, that would’ve been a snobbish answer. Then do you only look at money?
– (He laughs for a long time.) No, that’s not it. I like a pretty person. Their skin should be fair and clean. A person who looks cold because their eyes are slightly sharp at the ends, but is actually warm and gentle. I would like to take care of such a delicate person. I like someone that I can be a support for.
It is very specific.
– I’m just clear on what I’m looking for. It would be nice if they were about 177 cm tall. I would like them to be on the slim side, and I like a person with pretty hands and legs. Oh, and I would also like it if they were a hunter. Because I’m here, their rank doesn’t have to be too high. B-rank is enough.
The conditions are very strict.
– I’m not that picky. I’m planning to treat them to just as high of a standard as I’m looking for. If we end up marrying, I’m even thinking of retiring and becoming a supportive wife.
Losing Hunter Joo Yiwon is a big loss for the hunter world. I feel like we have to hope that you guys don’t work out.
– It doesn’t look like it will work out anytime soon. The other is like an iron wall. (He laughs.)
Truthfully, there aren’t many hunters that fit those conditions.
– That’s true. But I’m not planning to lower my standards. I like a person who fits into all of those conditions. If not, I’d rather live alone.
Actually, from what I know, there is one person who fits those conditions.
– It’s probably the person you’re thinking about. (He laughs.)
Is it okay for you to admit it outright like that?
– A person should be honest. I don’t lie. My dream since I was young was to marry that person. I don’t plan on dating anyone else before that.
(The rest of this interview has been omitted.)

| Title: Just say that your ideal type is Shin Jiho We all know that you two are dating. |
| Comments: |
– Are Joo Yiwon and Shin Jiho actually dating?
↪ Do you really think that’s possible? He’s only saying that because he’s sick of getting asked about his ideal type all the time and of all the scandals lolol
↪↪ But everyone can tell that he’s desperate to marry Shin Jiho? He’d probably even answer if they asked for the name;
– The way I see it, they’re actually dating
↪ Bullsh*t
↪↪ What else would you call two people dating then?
↪↪↪ Stop being delulu
– It’s not a delusion they’re real look at Joo Yiwon’s gaze (pic)
↪ It looks like Shin Jiho will be impregnated soon…
↪↪ The two should marry so that Korea becomes a nation with six S-ranks
↪↪↪ The two are men so they can’t get pregnant
↪↪↪↪ Why are you taking it so seriously this dumba** is the most serious one here

This is my first translation, so if you have suggestions, please let me know!
I barely know English slang, much less Korean slang so this prologue was a bit of a struggle (Thank you, Internet).
JYW was so obvious XD. He really threw all form of subtlety and shame out the window during this interview. I’m reading as I’m translating, so I’m looking forward to how this one-sided (?) crush turns out.
I really like dungeon, hunter novels like this, but I’m a little nervous since it’s my first time translating one ㅠㅠ. I will try my best so please be patient!
